About the Founder
Shrutija is a development sector professional with diverse experience across fields such as gender, arts, healthcare, education, livelihoods, and entrepreneurship. Throughout her career, she has worked as a consultant, data collector, content writer, researcher, teacher, presenter, and even been part of founding teams at various organizations.
Shrutija's early days were filled with nukkad nataks (street plays) and stage performances (dance ballets & theatre performances), which instilled in her the belief that Arts can creatively engage and drive change. However, for a time, her Artistic self took a backseat while she pursued other endeavors.
Her re-connection with Creative Practices surfaced during her time in the UK. Through modules like Creative & Reflective Practices for Social Change at IDS and participation in numerous theatre performances, her passion for contributing artistically was reignited. She also collaborated with arts-based organizations in the UK, serving as both a researcher and an artist.
This journey—spanning two continents and bridging arts and social change—has fueled her advocacy for the arts through research and evidence-driven work. She now focuses on using creative practices to inspire change, strengthen communities, and foster inclusivity.
